The Top 3 Venues I’ve Been To!

Since I started going to shows, I have been to over 20 venues. I have been able to see some amazing artists at equally amazing venues. While I also have plenty of venues I go to all the time, I have some all time favorites!

3. Silverstein Eye Centers Arena – Independence, MO

While I have only had the pleasure of being at this venue once, it was a fantastic experience. I was able to see Beartooth, I Prevail, and A Day to Remember for the first time! If you have ever seen these bands, you know that their fans go HARD. The shows get crazy. However, there were always so many security guards there to help. When there were crowd surfers, they were immediately ready to help. Not only were those guards phenomenal, the ones out front were quick and got everyone through the doors efficiently. Overall, the venue was ran well and makes me excited to go back. Hopefully they announce some badass shows following COVID-19.

2. The Granada Theater – Lawrence, KS

Ah, yes. The beloved Granada. If you aren’t giving your home venue some love, what are you doing? I have been to so many shows here, that I cannot even count. As a University of Kansas student and someone who grew up less than an hour from Lawrence, I will never pass up an opportunity to go see a show here. While small, this place holds such a big place in my heart. I have so many memories here. The staff are the coolest people you could ever hope to meet and it all seems to run so smoothly to the untrained eye. Probably to the trained one, too, but I’m not trained LOL. If there is ever the chance, check out the Granada. It won’t be disappointing.

1. Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island – Chicago, IL

THIS VENUE! Oh my goodness. This is one of coolest places I have ever been to in my entire life. Northerly Island is so beautiful. Sitting right beside Lake Michigan, there is always a view. I have never been to a show where I waited outside and got to watch the boats on the lake. While there is not a lot of shade to sit under while you wait, the view makes up for it. This huge park is right down the road from Navy Pier and the Aquarium. Once inside, you can still see the lake in all of its beauty. Not only was the staff considerate and efficient, they can run a show. Being able to see most of Chicago’s skyline while being able to see one of my favorite artists, was such an awe-inspiring moment for me. My experience here has not been topped and I cannot wait to go back.
