Holy mother of metal.
That right there could accurately sum up Cane Hill but obviously I am going to go into more detail here.

Cane Hill are a metal band form New Orleans, Louisiana and dropped their first record in 2015. I was lucky enough to see them this year as well when they toured with Blessthefall on the “To Those Left Behind Tour”. These guys are absolutely killer live and I can’t believe it has been five years since I have had the chance to see them again. As soon as this outbreak is over and that Oklahoma date happens, you all can bet I will be at barricade head-banging my heart out.
Now, musically, these guys are just as amazing as they are live. I have never heard a band go through such a drastic musical transformation and they pulled it off SO WELL. If you listen to their first record “Cane Hill” from 2015 and then immediately listen to “Kill The Sun” their most recent EP you’ll see what I mean. The difference in sound is like night and day and yet it is ALL equally amazing. They can do metal, they can do acoustic and vibey music and yet it all resonates the same and so deeply. I absolutely love it. My favorite tunes from each album are Sunday School from their self titled, Ugly Model Mannequin from “Smile”, It Follows and Lord of Flies from “Too Far Gone”, and finally Save Me and Kill The Sun from the “Kill The Sun” EP.
I have so much respect for the band and their musical abilities and I cannot wait to get the chance to see them again.
