When it comes to music, I am down to listen to just about anything if the mood is right. I listen to music across all genres, from classical to rock to county. I am also a big fan of artists whose music can barely be categorized, or falls into many different categories. I tend to listen to more upbeat music. When searching to listen, that is what I choose. What does that have to do with anything? Well, let me tell you.

The first time that I was introduced to Nightly was when I attended an NF concert in 2018. I went in with no expectations because, to be very honest, I barely knew who NF was and definitely didn’t know Nightly. However, the second they stepped on stage, I was hooked. The energy they exerted was terrific, and the whole show was a dance party.
After the show, I consistently started listening to the band. One big thing I like about Nightly is that they have very few slow songs. Most of them are upbeat, even the ones about serious topics and sad ones. While many people place them in the pop category, they have also been considered alternative and indie. Whatever you would classify it as it’s good music. They do not have a bad song and keep your attention as long as you want to listen.

I had the chance to see them one other time when they were in Kansas City. The energy was just as brilliant as the first time. They put on a great show. They just finished their first headlining tour at the end of February and are sure to do big things to follow.
If you’re new to Nightly, here are the songs that I suggest starting with:
- “Miss You Like Hell” (2018)
- “Black Coffee” (2019)
- “No Vacancy” (2016)
- “Sleepless Nights” by ayokay ft. Nightly (2018)
