This new supernatural-esque thriller is hitting theaters on February 28th. The production company Blumhouse is involved in the creation of this film. The list of this companies horror films is growing drastically. Many of their movies do not disappoint, and by the looks of this one, it won’t either. This film is an adaptation of the novel written by H.G. Wells. After Cecelia leaves a seemingly unhealthy relationship, her significant other commits suicide. 2. Onward
Pixar has a brand new movie coming out on March 6th, 2020! This is a heartwarming film of loss, magic, and wishing for the best out of life. However, the main characters must learn that nothing is as it seems, and experience is not near as magical as it sounds. To see the ending, check out the movie. 3. The Way Back
Ben Affleck’s new film The Way Back will grab the attention of many. It is a story of loss and heartbreak, but still being able to overcome both of those. With these themes present, the film is sure to be a tearjerker. When Jack, a former basketball all-star, experiences the loss of his wife, he is sent downward in a spiral full of alcohol. After spending his life fighting his father, he could not bear to fight this as well. Eventually, he pulls himself together enough to coach at his former high school. This will be an intense film that will catch a lot of people.
4. Bloodshot
Based on the comic, Vin Diesel is starring in a new action movie that hits theaters March 13th. The story of bad guys using technology to do bad things, paired with the action that will pursue, is sure to bring in plenty to the box office.
5. The Hunt
In a time when “Eat the Rich” is a common saying, this movie will be very fitting. When many low-middle class people are kidnapped and physcially hunted by the rich, they decide to fight back. After the rich and powerful’s annual routine of picking their targets and finding new ways to murder, they become the targets. To see who will win this class war, check it out on March 13th.
Part 2 of the well-received horror film is finally coming to big screens. Receiving a score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, A Quiet Place seemed to be a hit. It was full of scares and grabbed the audience with its silence and scares. This second part seems to have a similar take as the first. Hopefully, this doesn’t flop since sequels are rarely as beloved as the originals. Watch in fear on March 20th and see what becomes of the remaining members of the Abbott family!
7. Mulan
Ending the month of March, we have the Disney classic that has been turned into a full length, live-action film. This is a well-awaited movie, and many people are excited to see if Disney did their princess the justice she deserves. Based on the tale created in 1998, there will be a lot to unpack as Mulan defies traditional gender roles and traditions to save her family. This action-packed movie will be coming to theaters near you on March 27th.
Ah, yes. Yet another James Bond movie! This continuation of the well-known 007 feature films will be out on April 10. With humor to fill the dark moments that the trailer makes apparent, the film is sure to be a success. When I said sequels are not usually as liked as the original, with this series, it may be questionable! Don’t forget to check out the trailer to see what Bond, James Bond is up to now.
9. Antebellum
From the creators of Get Out and Us, we have another thriller built based on race and histories with the topic coming to big screens! Though the trailer is a lot to unpack, it is a tale of a young author who must fight her way out of horror-like reality. Haunted by the overly-romanticized Antebellum period of the 17th and 18th centuries, there will be a lot to uncover for the main character to escape. Antebellum will be coming to theaters April 24th.
10. Black Widow
The newest of Marvel’s action films, we are introduced to Black Widow. Fans are not pleased with the timing of this film but are still on their feet to watch. See the character of Black Widow come to life (again) in the franchise’s 2020 film.
